Dear Blog ,
Sorry I have not written in a while. Had a very busy week then went to Taiwan for a 4 day kitesurfing trip. The diet was pretty difficult to keep to whilst away but I did my best and I think the 5 hrs of water time I had everyday more than made up for the few extra calories consumed.
One thing that is concerning me a little is the fact that I am not losing any weight. There is definitely a change in appearance but I would have thought that 30 days in I would have lost more than 2 kgs as I have been very good about following the program strictly. I guess we still have a very long way to go so nothing to get too concerned about. Currently sitting around 96-97 kgs level which is where I started. I was hoping to get down to 86ish by the end of this but I seem to be building a fair bit of muscle so I guess 88 will be right sort of target. I just hope the weight drops gradually so its easier to keep off once this is all over.
Chat to you again this weekend with some pics and further updates.
Perhaps its the diet part & those few extra calories...? I was left feeling hungry most days on weeks 2 & 3 weighing my food. I'm a light weight to begin with weighing 64kg, but am now down to 60kg (my goal in PCP is not to lose weight mind you). Have lost both muscle & fat along the way... Thankfully more fat than muscle.
ReplyDeleteyeah the extras really were marginal and was only for 2 of the 4 days i was away.... took one of them as my indulgence ..... i still feel like im eating a lot more than i usually would and am never hungry ...if anything i feel like i have to stuff down some of the meals because im full .
ReplyDeletedon't worry, that will change....month 1 is to gradually get you used to the diet, weighing the food, what to cook etc...month 2 is where everyone is up to speed and PCP kicks in proper.....stick to your grams and you will lose weight! Month 3 is where your fitness will go through the roof and change will happen quickly....stick with it, Patrick does actually seem to know what he's doing (although he might not explain why until you've done it). There, I'm talking like a proper little convert already...
ReplyDeleteBuilding muscle means that your body will have a higher metabolic rate and burn up calories faster. So if you lay down more muscle now, you'll find you lose fat as you go later.
